Challenges
HMC’s website served as a both a spot to provide information on their company and products offered, in addition to hosting an online ordering system for customers. Their website needed some serious upgrades and visual enhancements. Also, their existing ordering system was outdated making maintenance and updates tedious and time consuming.
Requirements
✓ Update the color scheme and aesthetics of HMC’s website
✓ Construct the ordering system to allow administrators to maintain customer accounts, manage part information, and orders
✓ Enhance order forms to capture additional product information such as diagrams and drawings
✓ Allow customers to search across past orders
Results
The website and ordering system upgrade provided HMC with more reliability and control that drastically reduced their time spent with phone-based orders. Additionally, maintenance of the system took less effort and no longer required external support for routine updates.
