Sometimes, even the most state of the art security systems cannot prevent the unexpected from happening. Both physical and digital break in attempts are common for small businesses, leaving the occurrences of these violations as a matter of ‘when’ and not ‘if’.
This week, Ablesoft experienced a break in. We left it to our top employee to investigate and identify the culprit. Here is that story:
An interior door to the basement left slightly ajar. Whoever, or whatever entered, utilized this passage to infiltrate Ablesoft’s HQ.
Our top employee, Doug, immediatley went to work identifying the path the infiltrator took across the office.
After the initial scan of the office, Doug noticed a peculiar scent underneath one of the desks.
or was it? After further examination, it became clear the culprit was searching for a source of light. This led Doug immediately to the front of the building, knowing this to be the most lit location in the office.
Just then, Doug spotted the bandit in the front of the office in full display. The little chipmunks’ desperate attempts to hide were no match for Doug’s investigation abilities. Just when Doug was about to read him his rights and get him processed the unexpected happened…
The little chipper bolted right past Doug and into the vast office of Ablesoft…to this day his whereabouts are unknown as he remains at large. One day justice will be found, until then, Doug will be waiting.
The answer is ‘yes’. I have entirely too much time on my hands.
